The Congress is the Alliance’s highest decision-making body and is composed of all affiliated waste picker organizations and Congress’ Executive Council. We meet at least once every five years, according to our Constitution.
The International Alliance of Waste Pickers is a union of 59 waste picker organizations representing more than 500,000 workers across 38 countries.
