María Elbia Pisuña Llulluna is a waste picker from Ecuador with over 36 years of experience, having started working at the age of 14 in dumpsites, streets, and residential areas. Her trajectory reflects a lifelong commitment to the sector and to community education.
As President of RENAREC, she represents more than 20,000 waste pickers and contributes to regional coordination through REDLACRE. Her work focuses on training, advocacy, and advancing recognition of waste picking as dignified work.
