The Congress is the International Alliance of Waste Pickers’ highest decision-making body and is composed of all affiliated waste picker organizations and Congress’ Executive Council. We meet at least once every five years.
We launched our Constitution in 2022, and since then, with a Global Advisory Committee overseeing the process, finally, the 1st Elective Congress is set to take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from May 1st to 5th.
